Things are happening.
Rewind<<<<<<<<<<<<< Friday June 15th, 2007. The STEAKHOUSE show opening went down. AOMIII presented some homo-erotic at the Drunkn butterfly. Trust me when I say, "you must see it." His arousing approach to the smaller scale had the crowd perplexed. It was awesome to hear the positive comments from the opening and witness the reaction from such a diverse crowd. A+ all around. Get some.
Fforward>>>>>>>>>>>>>A packed TBS van made the trip to Northern Wisco just in time for the afternoon preride of WORS #4. Registration had us on our toes as much as the rock garden. We set out on two memorization laps as Landon took the reins going into the rock garden. "I was feeling the love." Great, a faster than race pace pre ride. Is it possible? ? ? Head north to ma and pa Lalondes. Always greatly appreciated, we offer the gift of Chamois for a combined board/feed/fathers day gift. Sealing the deal we are welcomed with endless Rocky movies, great time, cooking, and a relaxed wake up. Thanks Mom and Dad.
Heading out. With the course only 15 minutes from home we got a late start. Small crowd, and rain clouds mixed the nerves as we rolled under the tree cover of the start finish area. Thanks for saving us a spot shed! The warmup was botched by a delayed start time. Damn. I hate the nerves. Love the nerves. Timing has to be right. Everything settled as I assured Marko that our gear was fine for the fourth time. He looks at me with the Marko look. Hard to explain but it makes you feel like you repeated yourself for the fifth time which was accurate. Call ups in order. 30 at the most. Goooooooooooo! I settle near the front of the 1.5 mile open lead out. Tristan is already making "spin" cracks at us as we file into position. Marko is in tow as I pull up the front. Aj blows by, Matter counters, group goes. Damn, the single is built for the trail not the road. .08 seconds of panic shifts to the keeper and we're off. Darko and I manage to file into third and fifth wheel going into the first single track. Our boy Scotty Cole of the BKB threw in an "old man" surge as he tagged Matter. Eventually he gave me the courtesy pass as Marko and I suck Brians wheel. 1, 2, 3, laps of Brian off the front. Fast riding, pump tracking, bing ringing, rock gardening racing left the three of us passing comps/lapped riders. It's exhausting. One surge after another , not only worrying about the lead but also on commers. Once we were in the clear I doused the throat with a clif shot and cytomax. I was racing smart but felt dirty for letting Brian do the work. We were on a rampage. Pass, pass, passing. Approaching a short steep up in the single track we ran into a comp who was giving it a go when he dropped his chain forcing Matter into his rear. I diverted left with a perfect cross dismount. Once i realized he situation I continued the cheap move and pegged it leaving Marko and Brian to chase. My pace went from cruise control to faster than I rode the whole race for four minutes. That was it. Confused by the lap count I was asking every other spectactor, "how many?" Done.
First WORS victory for single speed over the elite class. First 29 victory in the elite class. Possibly the first rigid elite category win? Correct me if I'm wrong. Spiro? Props to Landon for the overall comp (positive T) , Tim in the ss sport, and Ronsta for helping with the ss take over. Thanks to my sponsors for all the support. The ferrous is molded to my body. Dry X's are by far the fastest, most responsive tyres in the midwest. 36:19 carried my 153lbs carcass to victory. Jim and Marcia fed the belly. Sport legs is legal epo. The keeper is back!

Very nice, very nice indeed.
Typos at the end show the excitment in the soul.
way to kill it!

I am participating in the Subaru Urban Assault Race in Austin, TX this weekend. One of the trivia questions for the race is on your web site ( i assume) is a graphic similar to a 80's punk band, who is the lead singer of the band? Can you help me out?

If you are referring to the blatant "red flag" rip off of the Black flag logo than it would depend on the year. Greg Ginn started the band and continued to sing through 1980 when Henry Rollins took over. The lyrics of Ginn were continued through the Rollins era.

ah, but don't forget Dez Cadena, Ron Reyes and Keith Morris, they all sang in the Flag before Rollins. long live the "bars".
