Bluemounds

A recovery ride turns into 65 miles of dirt. Sweaty rocks were the least of my concerns as I pin-balled from corner to corner of the bluemounds switchback. Overgeared, over pressured, and tattered from the WISSSC I spun homeward bound with my shadow chasing. I was broke. The soreness in my arms and shoulders stays with me for days after. A permanent ache from both wrists deserves more attention. My mild hypochondriasis get's the best of me on my days off. Chain tension haunts me in my sleep. Gear inches turned into a science. What have I become? As the obsession grows so do I. Last year at this time I was pedaling to work at most. Snagging a WORS top ten was a victory. Waking up was more rewarding than falling asleep. My health has changed since then but I can't help but think about it everytime a demon creeps in. It's difficult distinguishing health from the pain barrier. For now it's all unexplored territory or at least I'd like to believe it. Improving race after race is as much a victory as exploration. The season is just getting started and I'm stoked to be in the mix.

More rambling...

Why hasn't anyone mentioned anything about this? Or have they? A high profile mtber wins another endurance race, big deal. A high profile mtber wins an endurance race on a 69er fuel. Well, it appears to be a fuel 69er. It's no secret that Eatough lives a structured lifestyle. Seeing him outside his box is pretty impressive.

NVGP. I'd recognize those sleeves anywhere. Sweet podium threads by the men themselves. Interested? Don't wait any longer and join the T6 army now.

I'm feeling what you're saying about the health vs. the pain barrier. Good to hear things are coming around.

Yep, Chris is rockin' a Fuel 69er. Last month, he won the first Michaux series race on the same rig.

He raced the Lumberjack on a Fuel 69er. I teased him later about going all the way 29er. He just laughed!
