Bikes of the BKB. (partII)
Somewhere in Nebraska lives a guy named Skip. More specifically, Lincoln and you may be more familiar if we refer to him as Endurosnob. The Snob is a simple man. Two children, a wife, job, and one gear. The Snob has a love for the long race and bicycles alike. His attitude is second to none and he happens to own some pretty hip bikes which is why he's featured in the second installation of "bikes of the BKB".
It's a classic case of the engine not being up to the level of the bike. This bike filtered in and out of my mind for a couple of years, with the basic aesthetic being solidified for months prior to dialing IF. The stars and hearts on the top tube, however, came the night before after a late night of drink in front of a sketch and felt tip pen. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it, but one of my favorites came from the fiance of a close friend. A roller derby girl who often sports black and pink herself, she saw the bike online and asked my friend, "Why does a boy need a bike that pretty?" I've never had a great answer to that, but it certainly doesn't hurt during a Lemans style start.
Indy Fab Steel 29er SS. Bontrager Switchblade for most. Reba on occasion. Bontrager 29er Race Lite TLR wheelset. Hayes El Camino hydro disc brakes. Bontrager Seatpost, Stem and Bars. Grips and Tires to taste.
When not racing his single to the line of Trans-Iowa or mixing it up at endurance races across the midwest the Snob is campaigning his small company War Axe cycles which he co-owns.

Beautiful work of art!
